Life can only be understood backwards, 
but it must be lived forwards.
I look back with gratitude, with compassion, with appreciation, 
I've never tried to block out the memories of yesterday,
even though some are painful.

I don't understand people who hide from their past.
I have come to believe that while the past is unchangeable,
our perceptions of it becomes malleable as we go on through life.
Everything you live through helps

Whatever I am capable of, I choose to decide with my heart. Silence is holy and pure. It draws people together because only those who are comfortable with each other can sit without speaking. We sit next to each other in silence and as we go on our separate ways, we felt that it was the best conversation that we've ever had...
